Juliane Hammer, assistant professor of religious studies, is leading a workshop on “Teaching Gender Relations in Muslim Societies: Religious Text, Women’s Lives and Contemporary Muslim Debates” Oct. 7 in McCormick, S.C. The workshop is part of a seminar for educators from the region on “Islam in Asia” organized by Greenville Technical College and funded by the Freeman Foundation.
