L.D. Russell, lecturer in religious studies, will discuss “Racing and Religion: A Brief History of Occoneechee Speedway,” at the annual meeting of the Hillsborough Historical Society at 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30. The presentation will take place at the old Orange County courthouse in Hillsborough.
The talk will be based on the first chapter of a book Russell is writing, titled “Godspeed: Religion and Racing.”
