Organist Will Young will perform on the Casavant pipe organ at University Chapel at 9:50 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 in Whitley Auditorium on the Elon University campus. The chapel service and Young’s performance are open to the public.
Young serves as associate director of music ministries and organist at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, N.C. He directs the youth choir, accompanies the adult choir and is the organist for regular worship services. Young earned his master’s degree in music with an emphasis in organ and church music from Indiana University. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the American Choral Directors Association and the Choirsters Guild.
