Strempek to present at two conferences

Barth Strempek, Associate Professor of Business Administration, has been invited by the Berklee College of Music to participate in a panel at the International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE) annual conference in New York City in January. The panel will address issues involved with starting and running a college jazz recording label. The Elon ImproVibes label, started by Dr. Strempek and his entrepreneurship students in 1998, is one of only four college-run jazz labels in the country.

Also in January, Dr. Strempek will present a paper at the US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) conference in Tuscon Arizona. The title of the paper is: “ACADEMIC BENEFITS, PRACTICAL ISSUES: Assessment of an Integrated Entrepreneurship Program.” The paper is a summary of the assessment study conducted at the conclusion of the Elon Enterprise Academy entrepreneurship program.
