Larry Basirico, dean of international programs, and Anne Bolin, professor of anthropology, presented a paper at the Association of International Educators NAFSA Region VII meeting in Birmingham, Ala., Nov. 6-8.
Their paper was titled “Outside In: Problems, Prospects, and Practice in Integrating Cultural Awareness in Short Term Study Abroad Programs.” The paper emphasized the enhancement of pedagogy and practice of cultural awareness for short term study abroad courses.
