Computing Sciences offers two-hour courses

Read this note for more details about the new two-hour courses being offered by the department of computing sciences...

The Computing Sciences Department is offering a series of 2 semester hour courses to provide students an opportunity to learn concepts and problem solving tools that will increase their productivity both at Elon and in the workplace. These courses can be taken at a variety of times during either the first half or second half of the semester. The new two semester hour courses are: CIS 112 Problem Solving with Spreadsheet Applications using Excel, CIS 113 Introduction to Database Systems using Access and CIS 114 Introduction to Web Site Development using FrontPage 2002. Note: Credit for these courses cannot be earned if you have already taken CIS 116.

Elon students are entitled to a free copy of Microsoft Office Professional. The Elon environment reflects the industry environment where personal computers with Microsoft Office exist in a large percentage of the offices. If you are currently enrolled for 16 hours, the tuition you are already paying will cover an additional 2-hour course at no extra charge.
