New Instructional Technologies Web site

In an effort to best serve Elon’s faculty, staff and students who have technology needs related to teaching and learning, we are pleased to announce a new collaboration: the departments of Instructional Technologies and our associated Web site, http://www.elon.edu/DoIT. This site brings together Instructional Technology Services (comprised of Media Services, TV Services, Multimedia Services), the elite program, and Instructional Design & Development (formerly Academic Computing Services).

Fill out an entry form, which can be found online at http://www.elon.edu/DoIT/ticket.htm, and bring your completed entry form to a lunchtime reception and open house any time from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 in the Oak Grove Lounge in Belk Library. During this open house, we’ll serve hors d’oeuvres, present short sessions on technology topics, and offer tours of our newly revamped facilities. Entries must be delivered in person!

Instructional Design and Development has as its mission for this academic year and beyond to become a catalyst for the implementation of various media in the design and development of innovative strategies and methods of instruction to enhance teaching and learning.

Instructional Technology Services combines three areas on campus to provide you with technology support both in and out of the classroom. Whether you need to learn more about the technology in the classroom, create a multimedia CD-ROM, or need your class presentations video taped, we are here to help.

We invite you to visit the new Instructional Technologies Website at http://www.elon.edu/DoIT/
