Heidi Frontani’s article ‘Conflicts in Marine Protected Area Management’ was published in the Spring 2006 issue of the peer-reviewed magazine Focus on Geography (Vol 48, No. 4, pages 17-24). The article describes the marked similarities in fishing community responses to coral reef marine protected areas established in the Florida Keys, USA and Mombasa, Kenya from the late 1980s to the present day.
