Ernie Lunsford, professor of foreign languages, has received a $15,000 grant from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for spring semester to continue his work with an interdisciplinary team at UNC to create a multimedia program designed to teach Spanish to health care professionals.
The program, named ¡A Su Salud! (To Your Health!), will include a dramatic series on DVD, online exercises and a textbook. The program is being designed so it can be taught in a traditional classroom setting, as a distance-learning program, or as a combination of the two.
