The Elon University Chamber Orchestra will perform a complete concert reading of Henry Purcell’s opera “Dido and Aeneas” during a performance at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 25 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. The concert, which will also feature an appearance by the Elon University Camerata, is free and open to the public.
Paul Neebe will be the featured guest trumpet soloist. A graduate of The Juilliard School, Neebe serves on the music faculty at the University of Virginia. He is Principal Trumpet of the Wintergreen Summer Festival Orchestra, The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and The Charlottesville & University Symphony Orchestra. He has served as Principal Trumpet of the American Institute of Musical Studies Orchestra in Graz, Austria and The National Orchestra of New York.
