Elon parents Hugh and Debby McIlrevey have made an endowment gift that will support faculty research and deserving students in the School of Communications.
The McIlrevey Family Fund will support the work of communications faculty, including providing funds so professors can present their research at conferences and collaborate with colleagues on projects, and give financial assistance to students majoring in communications.
The McIlreveys of Madison, Conn., made the gift in part to encourage their daughter, Elon junior Julia McIlrevey, to give back to her alma mater. The couple are dedicated members of Elon’s Parents Council and are members of the Leadership Circle of The Elon Society, the university’s premier annual giving group.
