Stephanie Newbold, a 2001 graduate with majors in political science and public administration, has completed the requirements for the Ph.D. degree in Public Administration from Virginia Tech.
While at Elon, Newbold twice took first place in the Phillip L. Carret Endowment Thomas Jefferson Essay Contest and interned in the Chief of Staff’s Office of the Clinton White House. Her interest in Jefferson led to her dissertation on Jefferson’s contributions to administrative theory and practice.
Newbold has accepted a position as assistant professor of public administration at the University of Texas at Dallas for Fall 2006.
