Coker presents research, serves as coordinator at national conference

Jeffrey Coker, assistant professor of biology, coordinated education exhibits at the 2006 national meeting of the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) in Boston.

Exhibitors were selected through a national competition, and included Paul Williams (creator of “Wisconsin Fast Plants”), Claire Hemingway (Education Director of the Botanical Society of America), Judy Brusslan (California State University), Colleen Marion (UC-Berkeley), Katherine Krolikowski (Mendel Biotechnology), and Rajnish Khanna (Arcadia Biosciences). Coker also presented two posters at the meeting, one of which was co-authored by Elon student Beth Rice.
