The husband and wife team of Kevin and Cindy Spencer will dazzle the audience with their art of illusion during a performance at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.
The Spencers have been named Performing Arts Entertainers of the year numerous times, using magic, music, comedy, suspense and special effects to performa a variety of puzzling feats.
The Spencers have also been recognized for their efforts with the “Healing of Magic” program, which uses the tools of magic to help treat the effects of spinal cord injuries, strokes and accidents. They have been nominated for the Jefferson Award for Public Service, sponsored by the Kennedy Foundation, and have received the Outstanding Young Virginian Award from the Virginia Jaycees.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 29 and are $12, or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased at the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
