The inaugural exhibition in the new Elon West Gallery and Isabella Cannon Room will be unveiled during an opening reception from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 11 at the recently renovated Elon West building. The exhibition will include recent work in a variety of media by members of the Elon University Art Department. The department relocated this summer to Elon West, at 406 W. Haggard Avenue in Elon, from its previous home in the Center for the Arts.
Elon West includes classrooms, a ceramics studio, a painting studio, a digital art studio and photo lab. The building’s two computer labs are equipped with the latest audio and video technology. Elon West also includes storage for library collections as well as music faculty offices.
The exhibition of faculty work, which is free and open to the public, will run through Oct. 5.
