Ross Kauffman, director of “Born into Brothels,” an Academy Award-winning documentary on the subject of prostitution in Calcutta, will speak about work on behalf of children around the world during a presentation at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on campus. Sponsored by the Liberal Arts Forum, Kauffman’s presentation is free and open to the public.
Kauffman’s presentation will discuss the continuing efforts on behalf of children of the Sonagachi red light district of Calcutta and more recent projects with youth in Haiti, Cairo, Jerusalem and Baton Rouge, La.
