Roselle elected to International Studies Association leadership

Laura Roselle, Professor of Political Science, attended the International Studies Association meeting in Chicago this past week.

She was elected 2008 Program Chair, Vice-President, and President-elect of the International Communication Section of ISA.  In addition, she presented a paper, ” Media Systems, Political Transitions, and Political Violence, ” on the panel War, Political Violence and the Media: Framing Public Opinion in Comparative Perspective.  She also served as a discussant on the panel Contemporary Warfare, the (New) Media, and Questions of Legitimacy.

Finally, the International Communication section held a dinner to recognize new books published this year, including Roselle’s Media and the Politics of Failure: Great Powers, Communication Strategies, and Military Defeats.
