Smith, Vandermaas-Peeler receive psychology research award

Gabie Smith, associate professor of psychology, and Maureen Vandermaas-Peeler, associate professor of psychology, have been selected to receive the 2007 general category Office of Teaching Resources in Psychology (OTRP) Instructional Research Award from the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. They received the accolade for their project titled, “Taking Psychology Abroad: Resources for Designing Your Study Abroad Course.” Smith and Vandermaas-Peeler will receive $1,500 to be put toward their research. 

The OTRP presents three General category awards and two Presidential theme awards annually for projects that pertain to the teaching of psychology. The final project report is expected in July of 2008.
