Dave Powell gave a 4-hour workshop titled “Advanced Optimization: Finding a Better Design” on March 12th at the Engineous Software 2007 International Symposium. The workshop was attended by over 40 engineers from companies such as Caterpillar, Goodrich, Rolls Royce and General Motors. Powell covered 9 different techniques for performing multiple objective, non linear, constrained optimization for engineering design.
