Elon University Executive Education hosted a workshop for providers of mandatory continuing education programs required for professionals in architectural, engineering, and construction fields. The AIA CES Provider Workshop was held at the Elon School of Law and facilitated by Thom Lowther, Director of Continuing Education for the American Institute of Architects and Sara Thomas, CES Provider Manager for AIA National in Washington DC.
Representatives from AIA components, firms and universities from around the country learned about CES program requirements, trends and best practices. CES programs are required for licensing and can focus on many areas including design and construction, health, safety, and welfare, as well as business management and leadership. Participants also toured the Elon School of Law facility.
