Gunby presents on nurse vacancy rates

Norris Gunby, assistant professor of business administration, presented a paper at the annual meeting of the Academy of Management held in Philadelphia from August 3-8. The presentation titled “Registered Nurse Vacancy Rates in Nursing Homes: Benefits and Incentives That Matter”, is an analysis of the optimal bundle of human resource offerings necessary for nursing homes to reduce RN turnover. The Academy is the largest and premier association for management academicians. Gunby’s primary research centers on the operation and strategic management of healthcare facilities.
