Elon University parents Scott and Debbie Ammarell of Huntington, NY, have established the Ammarell Family Scholarship for Study Abroad. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to students who might not otherwise be able to study abroad.
The Ammarells believe in the value of global understanding. Their son, Corey, a business administration major and member of the Class of 2007, has participated in Elon’s study abroad program, studying in Mexico and Australia. Aware of the impact these experiences had on their son, the Ammarells established this scholarship to provide similar opportunities to deserving Elon students.
Scott Ammarell owns a construction business that focuses on specialized public buildings. Debbie Ammarell is a long-time educator in Huntington schools.
