More than 70 Elon alumni and friends gathered at Bailey’s Pub in Arlington, Va., for a
Welcome to the City event hosted by the Washington D.C. Chapter of the Elon Alumni
Association. The Sept. 19 event gave new graduates and other alumni who are new to the
Washington area an opportunity to meet alumni already established in the area.
Alumni were given updates on future D.C. Chapter events, including monthly
happy hours that will rotate between D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland. They also
heard about a newly formed Elon Alumni Flag Football team that is playing as
part of the Capital Alumni Network (CAN) league.
