FOX-8 reporter Leah Beno visited with
students Jon Dunsmoor, Drew Nettleman, Maggy Vaughn and
Eleftherios Xixis on Nov. 8.
Elon students are working
with faculty advisors Steve Friedland and Catherine Dunham,
as well as Chris Mumma, executive director of the N.C. Center
on Actual Innocence, to examine selected cases involving
potentially innocent people who are serving prison terms.

Beno’s story included interviews with Dunsmoor,
Nettleman, Vaughn and Xixis, as well as Friedland. Beno and
FOX-8 are planning future reports throughout the
2007-2008 academic year on the Innocence Project and the work
of Elon law students.
