Trustee, law professors named to “Best Lawyers” list

Three Raleigh, N.C., attorneys with ties to Elon University and the School of Law have been selected for inclusion in the 2008 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America.”

Noel Allen ’69, Jack Pinnix and Lynn Calder are shareholders in the Raleigh law firm Allen and Pinnix, P.A. Allen is a former chair and current member of the Elon board of trustees, and a current member of the law school advisory board. He was selected for both the Administrative Law and Antitrust categories of the “Best Lawyers” publication. Pinnix and Calder were included in the Immigration category. They teach immigration law as adjunct professors at Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, N.C.

“Best Lawyers” is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. More than 25,000 leading attorneys participate in the survey of lawyers by specialty, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in “Best Lawyers” is considered a prestigious honor.
