Work of law students with Innocence Project on FOX-8, Nov. 24

Elon law students working with the
Innocence Project will be featured in a report during the 10
p.m., newscast on WGHP FOX-8 this Saturday, Nov. 24.

Reporter Leah Beno visited with the
students and conducted interviews during the group’s
meeting Nov. 8 at the law school. Elon students are working
with faculty advisors Steve Friedland and Catherine Dunham,
as well as Chris Mumma, executive director of the N.C. Center
on Actual Innocence, to examine selected cases involving
potentially innocent people who are serving prison
terms.

Beno and FOX-8 plan future reports
throughout the 2007-2008 academic year on the Innocence
Project and the work of Elon law students.
