Area Executives Complete Effective Leadership Program (ELP) at Elon

ELP team members celebrate conquering Elon Challenge Course to “get the money to the bank.”
Area executives recently completed the Effective Leadership Program offered by Elon University Executive Education.
 
The Effective Leadership Program (ELP) focuses on enhancing effective decision making, organizational leadership, and teambuilding skills.  Participants learn how high-performance teams exercising preferred decision making and leadership styles can increase organizational effectiveness.
 
The ELP incorporates multiple assessments, 360-degree and peer feedback, an intensive comperter driven behavioral business simulation and challenging teamwork dependent exercises.  Participants in ELP Cohort 3 included, Anne Baker, Director of Alamance County Meals on Wheels; Karen Bartles, Director of Cardiopulmonary Services for Alamance Regional Medical Center; Jeff Michel, Vice President, Automotive Fabrics at Glen Raven, Inc.; Heidi Norwick, Executive Director of the Alamance County Women’s Resource Center; Carrie Stone, Program Director for the Alamance Partnership for Children; and Robert Weston, .Net Systems Developer.
 
Effective Leadership Program facilitators were Kevin O’Mara and Matt Valle from the Love School of Business department of Business Administration, Rex Waters, Associate Dean of Students, and Bob Weston, Director of Executive Education.   The next ELP session is scheduled for February 18 – 21, 2008.
