Raymond speaks with News 14 Carolina about Iran and the latest NIE report

Assistant professor Chad Raymond
Chad Raymond, an assistant professor of political science at Elon, spoke with News 14 Carolina on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, about the latest National Intelligence Estimate report on Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities. Raymond said that the latest report strengthened the credibility of America’s intelligence community while damaging the credibility of the Bush Administration, which for years has said the Iranians have been trying to develop a nuclear weapons program.

The NIE report found that such efforts were discontinued in 2003 and that a nuclear-armed Iran is likely not possible for at least several years.
