Sophomore music and biology major Mariana Poole has been accepted to perform in a master class by renowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie on Feb. 9, 2008, at Wake Forest University in the Brendle Recital Hall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Students from across the state were selected to perform for Glennie based on taped auditions. Poole was one of four students selected.
Glennie will be in North Carolina to perform three concerts with the Winston-Salem Symphony on February 9, 10 and 12.
