Tripp York, an instructor in the Department of Religious Studies, recently published an article on the misuse of Martin Luther King Jr.’s memory and legacy called “Dethroning a King” in Christian Ethics Today (Vol 14., No. 1, 2008). He is also doing a book signing of The Purple Crown: The Politics of Martyrdom (Herald Press, 2007) at Barnes and Noble in Burlington from 2-5 p.m. on April 19.
