Pedal power: Student bikes across U.S. for charity

Biking an average of 80 miles a day for two full months, Elon University sophomore Dani Schenk will travel across the southern United States this summer to raise money for a national nonprofit agency that builds homes for low-income families.

New faculty member: Larry A. Hammond, visiting professor of law

Larry A. Hammond joins the Elon faculty in Fall 2008 while on sabbatical from the law firm of Osborn Maledon, P.A. in Phoenix, Ariz. Hammond served as law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justices Hugo Black and Lewis Powell, Jr., and was assistant special prosecutor for the U.S. Justice Department’s Watergate Special Prosecution Force in 1973-74.
