New faculty member: Tom Noble, visiting professor of law

Thomas Noble joins the Elon Law faculty full-time after previous service to the school as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in legal writing and trial advocacy. He previously worked with the Greensboro firm of Tuggle Duggins & Meschan, P.A., where he concentrated on commercial litigation and labor and employment matters.

From 2001 to 2004, Noble was a litigation associate with Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, in Chicago, where his practice focused on general commercial litigation, primarily involving contract and partnership disputes, appellate litigation, professional liability defense, real estate litigation, and consumer fraud and warranty actions. Prior to law school, Noble worked as a litigation and labor and employment legal assistant with Morrison & Foerster LLP, spending time in the firm’s Palo Alto, San Francisco and Tokyo offices.

Noble received his law degree in 2001 from the Northwestern University School of Law, where he was a three-time recipient of Dean’s Honors. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1994.

Elon University School of Law has added nine newfull-time faculty members as the school prepares to enroll its thirdclass of students and reach full enrollment. With the new additions,the school will include 22 faculty and deans, four distinguishedin-residence faculty and coaches, and 20 administrators and staff. Thefall 2008 enrollment will be approximately 325.
