Elon sophomore Nick Ochsner, president of Elon's College Republicans group, is profiled in this week's edition of the Independent Weekly, a newspaper based in Durham, N.C. Ochsner is attending the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., this week.
The story, titled “Young, but not for Obama,” details Ochsner’s opinion that many young voters favor Republican candidates. “I think it’s almost an insult to think that college students, just because we’re young, we support Barack Obama,” Ochsner told the newspaper.
