“Elon…Pass It On” event highlights the importance of giving to the university

College Coffee took on a philanthropic vibe on March 17 with the "Elon...Pass It On" event, which educates students about the vital role that alumni, parents and friends play in supporting their Elon education.

Posters featuring alumni donors and their giving testimonials were displayed at College Coffee while students handed out Frisbees with the Elon…Pass It On logo and information about giving on the back.

The posters will be displayed in academic buildings across campus. Statistics about giving at Elon were posted on white boards in all academic classrooms.

In addition to learning about the donors who have helped make their Elon experiences possible, seniors were encouraged to “pass it on” to future generations by contributing to the Senior Class Gift and joining IGNITE, Elon’s young alumni giving program, after they graduate.

Students on the Senior Class Gift committee produced a video on giving that they posted to YouTube. You can view the video by clicking on the link to the right. You also can learn more about IGNITE and the Ever Elon Campaign by clicking on those links.

All gifts to Elon, including those to the Senior Class Gift and IGNITE, support the current $100 million Ever Elon Campaign to build the university’s endowment.
