The Purple Crown: The Politics of Martyrdom, a book by Tripp York in the Department of Religious Studies, was recently voted one of the best books of 2008 by the magazine The Mennonite.
Published by Herald Press, The Purple Crown was based on York’s dissertation at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary on the campus of Northwestern University. York is an instructor of religious studies.
