Elon University will present a second concert with this summer's Eastern Music Festival on Monday, July 13, when guest conductor Chelsea Tipton leads EMF's two student orchestras in a lively pops concert on the lawn Under the Oaks. The music begins at 7:30 p.m.
Each orchestra will perform one half of the concert.
The public is encouraged to attend and invite friends and neighbors from the community as EMF and Elon University recognizes the talent and commitment of approximately 180 aspiring young musicians.
Admission is free with festival seating (bring blankets or chairs). The rain site will be McCrary Theatre in the Center for the Arts. Any decision to move indoors will be posted on the Elon web site.
Elon has hosted annual concerts since 1988 as part of the Eastern Music Festival’s nationally known summer music series. The events have been made possible by the outreach of EMF, their faculty artists and friends of the university.
