Elon graduates in the New York City-area got together on Friday, July 10 to watch The New York Sportimes take on The Washington Kastles featuring Serena Williams
The event was arranged by Elon student Lauren Warr ’10, a summer intern with The New York Sportimes, one of ten teams currently competiting with The World TeamTennis.
After the match, Warr led the alumni on the court for a meet and greet with tennis champs Robert Kendrick and David Martin. Alums were also able to meet 2009 Wimbledon champion Serena Williams.
Proceeds from ticket sales went to benefit The Randall’s Island Sports Foundation.
