Belk Library is introducing nine Playaway sound media players, which are two-ounce devices than can hold an entire audio book. The players were purchased to satisfy growing interest among patrons in audio books and new technology.

Elon University Provost Steven House visited with students and alumni in Los Angeles July 17-23, where he attended an alumni function and spent time at L.A. landmarks with students.

DPT candidates on Tuesday said their farewells as they honored the lives of 10 men and women who donated their bodies to science and who, for the past seven months, served as “teachers” to Class of 2011 students studying anatomy as part of their doctoral program at Elon University.

Casting isn't the glamorous position. It's just a name in a long list of credits. Certainly, the weight of a motion picture's success rests more on the visible shoulders of the movie stars and director. But put the wrong actors in the wrong parts, and a movie can fall apart.
