Gary Bailey, a counselor for Elon University in the Ellington Health & Counseling Center, served as a member of the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Practice Analysis Task Force during 2009.
Bailey was appointed to the committee on Aug. 22, 2008, and took part in the year-long project encompassing two meetings in Washington, D.C., and Iowa City, Iowa, at the national ACT facility on September 11-13.
The Practice Analysis Task Force provides social work subject matter expertise to assist with creating a survey of professional practice. It also serves to interpret the data from the survey and make recommendations to ensure that the survey results are reflected in the content on the North American Social Work examinations developed and monitored by ASWB.
