Jon Metzger, associate professor of music, completed a new CD recording with the John Brown Jazz Orchestra in December.
Metzger was featured on vibes, along with Jazz at the Lincoln Center artists (Vincent Gardner, trombone, and Herlin Riley, drums), Count Basie Band alumni (Brad Leali, alto saxophone, and Derrick Gardner, trumpet), New York City standouts (Jason Marshall, baritone saxophone, and Greg Tardy, tenor saxophone), and North and South Carolina musicians (Mitch Butler and Jerald Shynett, trombones, Jay Meachum, trumpet, Will Campbell, baritone saxophone, and Baron Tymas, guitar).
