Applications being accepted for Young Alumni Council

Applications for the Elon University Young Alumni Council are currently being accepted. Dedicated, enthusiastic young alumni who are interested in working with the Elon Alumni Association to further its mission and goals are invited to apply. At this time, membership is only open to the classes of 2003-2009. To be considered for membership, a completed application must be submitted along with a recommendation letter from an Elon faculty, staff, or fellow graduate no later than Monday, February 8.

The Young Alumni Council was created in 2007 to address the unique needs of Elon’s young alumni community, specifically those alumni who have graduated in the last ten years. The Council serves as an advisory board to the Elon Alumni Association and is involved in creating and implementing a variety of young alumni programs.

Membership on the Council requires a commitment of both leadership and financial support of the University. All members are required to attend two on-campus meetings each year and participate in monthly committee conference calls. All new members will be notified in late February and will be required to attend the spring YAC meeting on April 10-11.

If you believe you have the time to commit to this dynamic organization, please contact Sallie Hutton ’92, Director of Alumni Relations, for an application package. She can be reached at shutton2@elon.edu or 336.278.7500.

Long Live Elon!
