Corporate DodgeBall Tournament for Boy Scouts of America – March 13

The first annual Corporate DodgeBall Tournament is being held on Elon University’s Campus on March 13 from 12-2 p.m. in the East Gym. I am working with Alpha Phi Omega and The Boy Scouts of America, Old North State Council, as an intern in putting this together.

Folks (not necessarily athletes) who like to play competitive sports can enter teams (10 players) to compete at this event. The cost to enter is only $15 each ($150 for a team of 10 players). Players have to be at least 12 years old. There’s a $1,000 first place prize, and a $500 second place prize, and a gift prize for the best team costume.

The emcee for the event is a hilarious local comedian, Alex Fanning, a.k.a. “King Alex.” Chick-Fil-A will be there with food and crazy cows, and there are a lot of door prizes to be given away! Brixx Wood Fired Pizza is the official post-event hangout!

Even those not playing can enjoy extreme DodgeBall. The event is open to the public and it costs nothing to watch!

The proceeds from this event will support the Old North State Council Boy Scouts of America, which provides programming and camping facilities for more than 10,000 youth in an eight-county region stretching from Alamance County and Greensboro to High Point and north to the Virginia border.
