Free tax clinic kick-off day – March 6

Families and individuals of low to moderate income (generally $49,000 and below), individuals with disabilities, and the elderly are invited to take advantage of free tax preparation services provided by Elon Law students and Legal Aid of North Carolina.

Kick-off day for the free tax services clinic is March 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., when numerous volunteers will be ready to assist you. Appointments are strongly encouraged.

Please call or email Greensboro’s Legal Aid office at (336) 272-0148 or email Greensboro.LegalAid.VITA@gmail.com to schedule an appointment or for more information.

The clinic launches March 6 and runs through April 15. Again, please use the contact information above to schedule an appointment.

This clinic provides those qualified with free preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns, with refunds received by clients within weeks.

All volunteers are IRS trained and certified.

The goal of the clinic is save clients money, get fast and accurate refunds, and make sure clients get every tax credit they deserve.
