University Relations wins four CASE Awards

The Office of University Relations received four awards in the 2009 competition sponsored by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III. The annual competition recognizes outstanding achievement in concept and execution of programs for institutional advancement.

Elon received the Grand Award in the category for World Wide Web home page design and implementation. The new Elon Admissions home page, which was launched in November 2009, received the recognition. The page was designed and implemented by a team led by Web designer Tim Paulson and Katie DeGraff, with assistance by David Morton, John David Parsons, Christopher Eyl, Carolyn Nelson, Grant Halverson and admissions staff members Susan Klopman, Greg Zaiser and Cindy Barr.

A printed admissions publication, “What’s Happening @ Elon,” received an award of excellence in the low-budget publications category. Staff members Katie DeGraff, Carolyn Nelson, Christopher Eyl, Grant Halverson, Holley Berry, Susan Klopman and Melinda Wood collaborated on the publication.

Elon’s Annual Giving Campaign, a series of post cards and brochure mailings supporting Elon’s development efforts, received an award of excellence in the fundraising category. Staff members who created the campaign included Maggie Byerly, Melisha Chamra, Jaleh Hagigh, Lindsay Hege, Christopher Eyl, Carolyn Nelson, Tim Paulson and Holley Berry.

A special project celebrating the Elon University School of Law charter class received a special merit award in the institutional relations projects category. The project included a special Web site with videos, emails, printed brochures and advertisements. Staff members who created the project included Philip Craft, Dan Anderson, Grant Halverson, David Morton, Tim Paulson, Christopher Eyl, Carolyn Nelson, John David Parsons and Law School Dean George Johnson.
