Paula Patch, lecturer in English, had an article published in the March 2010 issue of Teaching English in the Two-Year College (TETYC), a journal of the National Council of Teachers of English for faculty who teach the first two years of English in two- and four-year institutions.

Elon Law’s tax assistance clinic begins third year of service

Twenty students from Elon University School of Law began offering free tax preparation assistance to low and moderate-income residents in the region on March 6. The program, which assisted clients in obtaining more than $45,000 in tax refunds and credits last year, will continue through April 15.

Tammy Cobb receives award from Alamance County United Way

Tammy Cobb, assistant director for community partnerships in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning, was named co-recipient of the Colleen Newsome Campaign Award from the United Way of Alamance County. The award is given to a campaign cabinet member (or members) who goes above and beyond their campaign position's performance criteria.
