Kimberly Duggins, a psychology major and Honors Fellow, has been awarded a Psi Chi Undergraduate Research Grant. Psi Chi is the international honor society in psychology.
The research grant is awarded to approximately 30 people each year from the United States and Canada.
The award supports her honors project, which is being conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Amy Overman. Her project examines neural and behavioral characteristics of memory for crime information in young and older adults.
The Psi Chi award adds to previous accomplishments for Duggins, a senior from Winston-Salem, N.C. She was also selected for the Council on Undergraduate Research “Posters on the Hill” program, and is a Joseph Powell SURE Fellow, J.E. Rawls Undergraduate Research Scholar, and Perito Award winner. She has been accepted to several doctoral programs in psychology and will be pursuing her doctorate following graduation from Elon.
