Celebrate the arrival of Elon associate professor Drew Perry’s debut novel, a hilarious, beautifully written book that is set in North Carolina. Join fellow Elon alumni for a fiction reading from This is Just Exactly Like You on Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. at the Brickery Grill & Bar in Atlanta.
The novel is set very close to home. How often have you read a novel with words like Burlington, Greensboro, Mebane and Whitsett in it? How often have you read a novel whose characters work in a small liberal arts college just outside of Burlington, N.C., a college with nametags on each tree?
What subjects does the novel touch on? Infidelity, inaction, autism, parenthood and mulch. Plenty of mulch. Cedar, to be exact.
