Twenty-six rising sophomores from the Alamance-Burlington School System have been selected to join the fourth class of scholars in the Elon Academy, a college access and success program for academically talented students held each year on the Elon University campus.

Sang Nam, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, delivered the keynote address at the Dream Tree Festival in Los Angeles May 8.

Maintaining that love it or hate it, popular culture is an agent of globalization, Thomas Nelson, an associate professor in the School of Communications, presented his thesis at the annual gathering of the North American Global Studies Association.
