A globally committed HIV/AIDS researcher with strong scientific ties in Kenya, Overbaugh focuses on various aspects of HIV transmission and pathogenesis. She is currently the associate program head, Human Biology Division, at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.
