Alumni, Elon in L.A. interns enjoy an Evening for Elon

Los Angeles-area alumni joined President Leo M. Lambert and the Elon in L.A. interns at an Evening for Elon on June at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

President Lambert speaks to a crowd of more than 80 students, alumni and friends of Elon.

The 35 Elon in L.A. interns attended the social after a dinner with Doug Finberg ’94, vice president of international marketing for Marvel Studios. At the Roosevelt, students mingled with alumni including Laith al-Majali ’05, an award-winning filmmaker and Elon’s 2010 Commencement speaker.

In his brief remarks, President Lambert recognized the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter’s leaders, especially Hannah Campbell ’02, who has served as president since the chapter’s inception.

“This event demonstrated the power of an engaged alumni chapter,” President Lambert said. “By staying involved in the life of the university, alumni can play a crucial role in assisting student interns, such as those in the Elon in L.A. program, along with recent graduates and other fellow alumni. All of us benefit from a strong and committed alumni network.”
